You know how they say ‘your clothes do all the talking for you’ – well, it’ quite true. Only difference is- it’s not the labels and brands that are vocal elements of our outfits nowadays, but rather the ensemble as a whole.
In other words, we all need to break up with the fashion rules that have, for too long now, governed our wardrobes. Today’s fashion is all about the art of mixing – blend retro with futuristic, wear print on print, mix high end and street styles – wear HIGH STREET!
But the problem is, people are so used to creating a fashion divide, even within their own closets, that they find it difficult to master the art of mixing economically varying pieces to create an aesthetically appealing ensemble. I mean, if I had 10 bucks for everytime someone battled to match a top with a bottom, by now I would be wealthy enough to not look at price tags before shopping!
When it comes to mixing high-end and low-end pieces, there are a whole new bunch of rules to follow, but only one of them really matters:
Invest in some quality classic pieces that can be the ‘pillars of foundation’ in your wardrobe.
Say a fancy white blouse or a simple button-down that can be paired with almost anything!
That’s what this outfit is all about – literally every piece in this look is from a street market, except one! Can you guess which?
