With an unrivalled omnipresence in the world of fashion, it’s a wonder that people haven’t come up with a catchy word rhyming with denim! Especially when, (let’s be honest with ourselves), 1/4th of a woman’s wardrobe is made up of all things denim. In fact, on an average, women own a minimum of five pairs of jeans (and there’s more, let’s not forget skirts, jackets, shorts, dresses, dungarees, trousers etc.)
Not only that, it’s also impossible to count the humongous bag of trends that fade in and out in the wake of denim, be it embellishment, washes, frays and rips, patchwork, prints, denimondenim and most recently flowing denim! Obviously, us fashionistas own more than half of these styles, which, now that I think about it - undeniably tips the closet composition to 1/3rd denim only, hence making the next three ‘facts’ 100% true!
When you have literally two minutes before you need to step out of home, denim is the first thing you reach for.
It is a 100% true that 90% of the time, the accompanying garment is either white or black, because shades and tints don’t come into play here.
Even though you started getting dressed with a time-frame of 2 minutes, you still find 20 seconds to look at yourself in the mirror – be it admiringly, critically or dejectedly – before leaving!
Though, when it comes to denim, you can’t be unhappy – it screams simple and whispers suave. You’ll always look fab, trust me!
Anyway, that’s how this outfit came into existence – on a rushed Tuesday morning, at exactly two minutes before 8:15am. I won the race against time, and quite fashionable so!
