WHEN A STRANGER STARES

Imagine a world without mirrors. Horrifying, isn’t it? Especially when, the only way to know how you look would be by noticing others’ reactions to you. That isn’t so bad though…(sometimes :p)!

Harry once said, “People will stare. Make it worth their while.’’ No, not Harry Potter, Harry Winston (though it totally could be a Potter dialogue, considering his circumstances).

*do a little happy dance if it was your life’s goal to get accepted into Hogwarts*

Anyway, the point is, there are only (mostly) 3 reasons people will stare:

1. Because you look different, meaning stand apart in the crowd

2. Because you look absolutely smashing (sexy/ pretty/adorable- you name it)

3. OR because you’re stark naked

And I think it’s pretty safe to say, that for most of us, it is probably going to be option a or b. So stop worrying when a stranger stares at you. It’s only a confirmation to what the magic mirror told you.

Wearing this black and red, heavily layered ensemble, will undoubtedly, elicit stares.

Q: Why?

A: It has a modern grunge–goth vibe going on, that isn’t commonly seen in street fashion, so that categorizes it under option a, I guess. But it’s sort of perfect for the autumny winds blowing through nowadays. Plus who doesn’t love the black and red combo!

Q: How many layers are there?

A: A black spaghetti, a red and black check shirt with leather patches, a solid black hoodie, a

knitted/netted muffler. Also, layer your accessories- a choker, a long chain with a big pendant, rings, studs, ear-cuffs, bracelets; sometimes it’s alright to over accessorize.

Because remember what Harry said- People will always stare, we just gotta make it worth their time!
