Now, if I was Miss Augustine, and one of the most important meetings in office was to take place on Monday, I’d be planning and preparing my outfit on Saturday.
How to plan a ‘wonder woman’ ensemble for work?
Many people go about this from top to bottom; while this provides an easy visualization of the look, it often confuses and misdirects in selecting the complementary pieces to create a flawless outfit.
Steps to follow:
Decide upon the bottom wear first- trousers or skirt?
Colour palette – light on dark or dark with dark
Accessories – bags and shoes followed by non-essentials
And from here, everything just falls into place..

Right, so, I’m normally not up for make-up of any kind (save my kajal and lip balm :P). But sometimes (like for a meeting at 9:00 am Monday morning) you require some playful intervention from your cosmetically indulgent friends. Here’s a simple look that you can work with:
Start off with a basic 9 to 5 foundation and your favourite flavoured lip balm. A light dusting of plum eye shadow and liner of the same hue would look understated yet visible enough. Follow up with kohl lined eyes and a light tone of lip colour. I would personally avoid the mascara that others might deem a necessary, finishing touch, but that’s up to you!
Now that that’s all sorted, just wear some confidence on your sleeve, a devastating smile on your face and you’re ready-to-wow!
