You just can’t be faulted for arriving late (even to an interview), if you’re wearing something like this..
A classic pairing of black with white is timeless, amenable, fluid - capable of eliciting appreciation from just about anyone. And, the thing about monochrome semi-formals that makes them so likeable is their versatility.
See how I converted this outfit from a 6 PM interview one to an 8 PM party look..
(Oh and just BTW, I love blazers, semi-formal jackets and casual coats, so you’ll be seeing a lot of those.)
The outfit:
A strictly patterned midi paired with a coal-black fitted blazer and pointed sling back flats, seemed refreshingly stylish for an interview. You can carry a structured sling bag and it’s best to accessorize minimally. The empire waist helps create an illusion of a tiny minuscule waist and mid-calf hemlines portray just the right amount of formality in attitude.
After the very successful interview, it’s time to kick back and chill out. Ditch the blazer or just drape it over your shoulders and replace the flats with an exquisite pair of peep-toe pumps! Rock this outfit at a date or a party!
And if you’re a dedicated dancer, you’ve still got those flats around. Mine sure did come handy – but not because I danced all night! :p
